Why did I decide to do a blog like this?

I am a full time trader. I use mainly Ichimoku charts but I developed my own system and settings (see at TTB Members). I also use support/resistance levels and fundamental analysis in my trading. I have been trading for about 20 years. I trade stocks, forex, commodities and market indices using the exact same method. I am a momentum trader because I like to trade the market bias hence the name of my blog.

This blog is just for my interest, kind of like a trading journal. Maybe I can also show others a few things about how I trade if they are interested to know. There have been many blogs about trading that I have seen come and go but I am not doing this for popularity or financial gain. I don’t make money from this blog. I just enjoy discussing charts and fundamentals. It also helps me to refine my trading method.

The most important thing to understand is the direction of a trend or the “bias” and that is more difficult than you might think but there are a few very important rules you must follow. If you approach trading with the wrong mental attitude, it will not make any difference what trading method you use.

These are some of my favorite inspirational quotes. In trading one thing you defiantly need is to be inspired.

A Clear Midnight

“This is thy hour O Soul, thy free flight into the wordless.

Away from books, away from art, the day erased, the lesson done.

Thee fully forth emerging, silent, gazing, pondering the themes thou lovest best.

Night, sleep, and the stars.”

~Walt Whitman

Song of Myself

“You shall no longer take things at second or third hand, not look through the eyes of the dead, nor feed on the spectres in books.

You shall not look through my eyes either, nor take things from me, you shall listen to all sides and filter them from yourself.”

~ Walt Whitman

Some of my favourite inspirational quotes

“Constancy that small change of love, which people exact so rigidly, receive in such counterfeit coin and repay in baser metal.”
~ Lord Byron

“Many roads lead to the path, but basically there are only two: reason and practice.”
~ Bodhidharma

“I know that I shall meet my fate somewhere among the clouds above; those that I fight I do not hate, those that I guard I do not love.”
~ W. B. Yeats

“Success in its highest and noblest form calls for peace of mind and enjoyment and happiness which come only to the man who has found the work that he likes best.”

~ Og Mandino

“Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail”
~ R. W. Emerson

“Books are but waste paper unless we spend in action the wisdom we get from thought – asleep. When we are weary of the living, we may repair to the dead, who have nothing of peevishness, pride, or design in their conversation.”
~ W. B. Yeats

“The world breaks everyone and afterward many are strong at the broken places. But those that will not break it kills. It kills the very good and the very gentle and the very brave impartially. If you are none of these you can be sure it will kill you too but there will be no special hurry.”
~ E. Hemingway

“Every person who wins in any undertaking must be willing to cut all sources of retreat. Only by doing so can one be sure of maintaining that state of mind known as a burning desire to win – essential to success.”
~ Napoleon Hill

“All through time, people have basically acted and reacted the same way in the market as a result of: greed, fear, ignorance, and hope. That is why the numerical formations and patterns recur on a constant basis.”
~ Jesse Livermore

“Imagination is the beginning of creation. You imagine what you desire, you will what you imagine and at last you create what you will.”
~ George Bernard Shaw

“I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”
~ Michael Jordan

“We simply attempt to be fearful when others are greedy and to be greedy only when others are fearful.”
~ Warren Buffett

“Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve.”
~ Napoleon Hill

“However difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at.”

“Jobs are a centuries-old concept created during the Industrial Revolution. Despite the reality that we’re now deep in the Information Age, many people are studying for, or working at, or clinging to the Industrial Age idea of a safe, secure job.”
~ Robert Kiyosaki

“You are now at a crossroads. This is your opportunity to make the most important decision you will ever make. Forget your past. Who are you now? Who have you decided you really are now? Don’t think about who you have been. Who are you now? Who have you decided to become? Make this decision consciously. Make it carefully. Make it powerfully.”
~ Anthony Robbins

“The game of speculation is the most uniformly fascinating game in the world. But it is not a game for the stupid, the mentally lazy, the person of inferior emotional balance, or the get-rich-quick adventurer. They will die poor.”

“Think twice before you speak, because your words and influence will plant the seed of either success or failure in the mind of another.”

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do, so throw off the bowlines, sail away from safe harbor, catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore, Dream, Discover.”

“If you don’t learn how to change your mind you won’t have any change left.”
~ W.D. Gann
